CAPcapcaqLAQ

This summer, Mondays have brought with them the most joyful encounters through rhythm, dance, and celebration!

ĊAPċapċaqLAQ, our performing arts project for women who are seeking sanctuary, has been a transformational success for all involved, and we cannot be more excited to share with you some of the moments that have made this project such a special one.

A shift from drumming to dance brought with it some expected hesitation, which was quickly overcome thanks to the encouragement and support of the group and the infectious energy buzzing around the room. Soon, everyone was indulging in the freedom of movement – experiencing a liberating sense of joy, expression, and togetherness

ĊAPċapċaqLAQ is a creative communities initiative led by Teatru Salesjan and Dance Beyond Borders, TAMA and UNHCR Malta. It has been funded by Arts Council Malta, and would not have been possible without the support of St. Joseph School Sliema, Intercomp Malta, the ADRC Trust and BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation, and all of the arts practitioners and volunteers involved.
