A charming and hilarious piece of Victorian theatre, Cox and Box captures all the polite absurdity of that singularly straight-laced era.

Follow the misadventures of an unscrupulous landlord who collects double rent on a single room, by renting it out to two different people who work at different times of the day – ensuring that they never meet. Of course, all sorts of absurd confusions and vexations arise from this situation, with both tenants complaining that the furniture their room is repeatedly moved and by a mysterious agency, while their food keeps disappearing!

There’s a happy ending though, with a surprise at the end of this topsy-turvy tale!
