“Deep in the deepest deep… Is a forest where they keep all your memories!”
In a very special part of a forest not too far from here, lives an Old Man and a Girl who guard all the memories of the world. It is a place where every single one of your memories has been securely kept and stored up till now. But something strange is happening. Memories are going missing, and at an alarmingly fast rate. The Memory keepers must catch the sneaky thief stealing the precious treasures, save every memory in the world and they only have Three Sunsets to do it!
Originally performed as part of Zizuzajg International festival for children and young people, the piece is written and directed by Denise Mulholland with an original score by Luke Saydon. The piece is being re conceived with the full student body of SOPA and a live band and it will be performed at the beautiful Salesians Theatre in April. This musical is instantly appealing and engaging and will offer the students the opportunity not only to experience the thrill of a live performance, but also to put their training into practice. It will involve the disciplines of singing, acting, dancing, physical theatre and puppetry- our youngest performer is just 8 years old while our oldest is 16.
This is an uplifting family show suitable for people of all ages, which explores the themes of memory, loss, magic and courage. In a world where we communicate less and less with each other this show reminds us how important it is to share our thoughts and memories- for after all, nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.
