Theatre Sales Manager
Full-time position on a 3 year contract
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Theatre Sales Manager to join our team at Teatru Salesjan, a local community theatre located in Sliema, Malta. The Theatre Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing business and helping to maintain the financial sustainability of the theatre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase ticket and concession sales
- Foster relationships with local businesses and organisations to secure group ticket sales and partnerships
- Utilise social media and other marketing channels to promote events and shows
- Handle box office and customer service responsibilities, including ticket sales and customer inquiries
- Collaborate with the artistic and production teams to create packages and promotions that appeal to our audience
- Analyze sales data and use it to inform future sales efforts
- Assist in the preparation and management of the theatre’s budget
- Sourcing new clients and building lasting partnerships through rentals and collaborations
- Develop and maintain a database of potential clients and partnerships
- Network with industry professionals and attend events to identify new business opportunities
- Negotiate rental and partnership agreements and manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the arts or entertainment industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic marketing tools such as social media platforms
- Experience with customer service and box office operations
- Ability to work well in a team and to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English
- Strong networking and relationship building skills
- Experience in negotiating contracts and partnerships
