A Flamenco Dance Performance with a slight difference. Inspired by the Maltese legend L-Gharusa tal-Mosta (The Bride of Mosta), Alegria Academia and Dance Company will be staging Amor, a love story that goes wrong but finds its way to happiness. Members of Alegria will be interpreting this story through flamenco dance and the audience will enjoy the enchanting percussion music of Renzo Spiteri, a local talented percussionist who needs no introduction.
Fusing flamenco with Maltese culture, the evening will also include a guest appearance of Joe Grech who will be singing traditional maltese folk song (ghana). A contribution from each ticket sold will be donated to cancer research through RIDT. Prior to each performance the guests may also enjoy an exhibition and sale of Paintings by Alan Pace. This display will be held in the foyer of the theatre and guests will also enjoy a taste of Tio Pepe – traditional sherry from Jerez de la Frontera as well as a taster of Go & Fun health drinks.
Parking available at the St Patrick’s Ground and performances are being held on Saturday November 26th at 8.00pm and Sunday November 27th at 7.30pm
